Lehigh Valley Community Foundation
The Community Foundation is partnering with consultants to design and deliver the CORE Learning Series. These consultants contribute in the program design and decision-making as well as being in the facilitation role for the program. The individuals who are designing and holding the CORE container are:


Phyllis Alexander (she, her, hers) has been a champion for social justice and civil rights for several decades, working for both corporate America, nonprofits and city government. Phyllis is an experienced coalition builder and trainer and credits her skills to her 40-year affiliation with the National Coalition Building Institute, (NCBI
Phyllis Alexander (she, her, hers) has been a champion for social justice and civil rights for several decades, working for both corporate America, nonprofits and city government. Phyllis is an experienced coalition builder and trainer and credits her skills to her 40-year affiliation with the National Coalition Building Institute, (NCBI) and the International Black African Heritage Constituency Caucus (IBAHCC). Both are international social justice/ social change organizations that foster both personal and professional growth, development and transformation.
Phyllis facilitates a variety of conversations ranging from courageous conversations about race, to strategic planning sessions for boards, to how to develop a change process for churches.

Guillermo Lopez, Jr. (he, him, el) is a trailblazing leader and facilitator who has spent over 30 years bridging deep societal divides through trust-building and collaborative leadership. Guillermo Lopez, Jr. (he, him, el) is a trailblazing leader and facilitator who has spent over 30 years bridging deep societal divides through trust-building and collaborative leadership. As the Latino Constituency Director for the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) and Co-Director of their Law Enforcement and Community Trust Building Program, he has trained more than 1,400 police officers and consulted with over 20 universities and 31 communities across 14 states and two continents.
A first-generation Puerto Rican and a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA, Guillermo’s approach is rooted in 27 years of experience as a Millwright at Bethlehem Steel, where he served as a Joint Civil Rights Representative. His dedication to justice is a family legacy; his family was among the founders of the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society, an organization born from a need for community safety and educational advocacy. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley, Guillermo is a sought-after Community Elder committed to empowering families and fostering intercultural understanding.

Carter Gilbert (he/him) is a leadership educator and facilitator who works at the intersection of community, learning, and change. With over a decade of experience, he designs and guides leadership experiences that invite people to engage across difference, wrestle with complexity, and examine how they show up in relationship with others
Carter Gilbert (he/him) is a leadership educator and facilitator who works at the intersection of community, learning, and change. With over a decade of experience, he designs and guides leadership experiences that invite people to engage across difference, wrestle with complexity, and examine how they show up in relationship with others and their communities.
Currently a Ph.D. student at The Ohio State University, Carter studies how socially just leadership is learned, taught, and practiced—and brings that lens directly into his facilitation. He is known for helping groups make sense of complex ideas, connect to a shared purpose, and move toward collective action.
The Community Foundation is partnering with Partnering for Change to design and deliver portions of the CORE Learning Series. Ellen Greenberg is the owner and Principal Consultant of Partnering For Change, LLC, an Organization Development Consulting and Executive Coaching firm working with individuals, groups and organizations to create new solutions and approaches that lead to sustainable results, greater success and healthier, higher performing organizations. Ms Greenberg is a strategic thinker with experience in generating value through leadership development, executive coaching, diversity programming, strategic planning, training, team building, managing change, organizational learning, and building high-performance work systems. She has over 20 years of experience working with nonprofit, for profit and government agencies both in management and consulting capacities. In addition, she is a skilled coach, trainer and facilitator who has designed and delivered seminars, workshops and programs on topics such as consulting skills, strategic planning, team building, effective communication, facilitation skills, coaching for leaders, and change management.
Ms Greenberg holds an M.S. in Organization Development from American University/NTL Institute (AU/NTL), and a B.A. in Journalism with a specialization in Advertising from Temple University. She is qualified to administer and interpret the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), DiSC assessment and the Fundamentals of Interpersonal Relationships Orientation (FIRO Element B) assessment. She completed the Georgetown Leadership Coaching program, a training in Polarity Management, and is certified to utilize “When Cultures Meet” (an experiential program focused on building an integrated organizational culture). She is also a member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science and the Philadelphia Region Organization Development Network. From 2010 - 2024, Ellen was Adjunct Faculty at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Organization Development and Leadership Program. She taught Foundations of Organization Development and Leadership, Coaching Skills for Leaders and Leading with Emotional Intelligence.

Jeff Branch is an executive coach, organization development and effectiveness consultant, and adult education practitioner utilizing inquiry, dialogue and systems thinking to help organizations achieve and sustain high performance. He has over 30 years of experience advising corporations and not for-profit organizations on strategic business issues.
Jeff’s leadership experience includes his past role as Program Chair for the Organization Development & Leadership, Population Health Leadership and Public Health Management and Administration graduate programs. In this role, he focused on integrating theory into the practice of leadership by designing and facilitating a highly synergized experiential action learning curriculum where the adult learners/leaders worked on real issues impacting the health and performance of their organizations. As an outcome, the leaders were charged with designing and implementing interventions that enhanced individual and organizational performance.
Jeff previously served in senior leadership roles in healthcare and as an internal organization development leader/practitioner in the financial sector. His forte includes creating highly-effective internal and external partnerships by designing creative process methodologies that deliver potent outcomes for the diverse organizational cultures in the for-profit, not for-profit, and government sectors that he serves.
Jeff is a member holding various board leadership or steering committee roles with The Lewin Center, NTL Institute (National Training Labs), International Organization Development Network (ODN), Philadelphia Region OD Network (PRODN), and Intergeneration Work Group (IWG). He has a Doctorate degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Organization Development and Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing. He is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and a number of individual and group process measuring instruments.
